Israeli police have arrested three suspects following a violent stabbing attack that injured multiple people earlier this week near Jerusalem’s Old City, raising fears for security across the city. Authorities suspect these arrests are linked to the assailant responsible; their motive remains unknown.
At around 2:15 in the afternoon rush hour, an unarmed individual wielding a knife launched an unprovoked assault against several individuals in a crowded area. Witnesses reported seeing their assailant quickly flee after attacking two individuals in critical condition – soon thereafter police officers arrived on scene to provide medical assistance and apprehend their attacker who initially identified as 30-year-old male.
After the attack, Israeli police conducted an intensive probe into its origins and identified any potential accomplices.
